About the Project:
Factor Construction Limited has been appointed to deliver the Motorway Control Centre (MCC), a critical component of Victoria’s largest road infrastructure initiative; the North East Link. Strategically located within the Manningham compound in Balwyn North, the MCC will support the operation of twin tunnels connecting Watsonia and Bulleen.
The MCC is targeting a 5-Star Green Star rating, with over 4,000 linear metres of sustainably sourced timber to reduce embodied carbon and enhance indoor environmental quality. Given its proximity to residential areas and active tunnel works, the project will implement strict environmental and community controls, including:
